Benefits of bananas

Banana is a fruit that many take for granted. Some don't even know the benefits of the fruit and yet they love them.

So here is a brief summary of how gracious the fruit is to our bodies:
  • Potassium - it helps control the sodium levels, hence improving your pressure levels, improves mortality rate, preserves bone mineral density, reduces risk of stroke, protects against muscle loss etc.
  • Fiber - helps in weight loss, helps with digestion, improves your bowel health, improves cholesterol levels, heart health
  • May lower chances of having colorectal - cancer - Vitamin C in the banana can help reduce the formation of free radicals 
  • Tryptophan- an amino acid produced in the protein part of the banana, may help in mood modality and preservation of memory.
  • According to Medical News Today, bananas may help prevent asthma, cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and digestive problems.
