Does intelligence help regulate emotions.?

"Our intelligence helps us regulate our emotions. Fear, for example, is based on mistrust and a lack of self-confidence. If, on the other hand, we remain honest and truthful, open and tolerant, we will have greater self-confidence and overcome fear." Dalai Lama Do suppose a high EQ  (Emotional Quotient) is relevenant in this case? Could he be referring to this? What are your thoughts?

Monopolisation of the market

Say I want to start a blog and then my work is seen by a media mogul who thinks that because I have received 1 million likes in a day that I am taking them out of business. Or say I have a small village shop that attracts customers and I sell the products a little below the market price and a tycoon sees that I am selling the same products as they are and they think my small shop will take them out of business. Do you suppose that they should make my life miserable, so that I may close my shop and they continue manipulating the market and creating a conglomerates, which would reduce the competition and make obsolete the fair market pricing? Or should they let the little man do their business as they ought to allow room for fair trading? https://kingfin.com/?referrer_id=663764
